Redneck Jedi will headline at Lampasas Firehouse Biker Rally

One of the hardest working bands in the Hill Country, Redneck Jedi, will bring their unique blend of classic and southern rock covers as well as some of Texas’ most original rocking tunes to Lampasas for the Firehouse Fun Biker Rally on October 18.

With two releases already under their belt that have garnered acclaim and regional radio airplay, the group will also be playing selections from their upcoming album “Too Defiant,” due out in March, 2009. Additionally, the Jedi boys will be bringing the energetic stage show their fans across Texas have come to expect and hope to leave a lasting impression after their first opportunity to perform for Lampasas residents.

Band founder and songwriter, guitarist Dennis Phillips, is excited to be adding this show to an already exhaustive calendar. “Outdoor festival shows are really what this band is built to play,” Phillips said. “Our energy really feeds off that setting and we try to give it right back to our audiences.”

Their major concert resume includes being one of the featured performers at the 2006 Too Broke For Sturgis Rally just outside of Austin, their upcoming show in September as the headliner for the Sweat Hawgs Rally in Burnet, last year’s billing with legendary “American Band” Grand Funk Railroad at the inaugural White Buffalo Bike Fest in Snyder, TX and a highly anticipated return engagement to that same event this year as the opening act for venerable southern rock superstars Molly Hatchet and Blackfoot. These shows, in addition to a dizzying club tour schedule that has them covering miles of Texas highways through the end of 2008, and followed by a month in the award winning Timbre Lodge Studios to record their third album, keeps these boys in their element.

“We love the studio and we’re really looking forward to getting our new stuff down after the end of the year,” says lead vocalist Jeff Foeh, “But we’re a live band first and foremost and shows like this one are what we live for.”

Redneck Jedi’s first two releases, “defiance” and “Black and White” respectively, are available for purchase at both MyTexasMusic.com and the band’s own website, redneck-jedi.com. Many of those tracks have also been prominently featured as “Track of the Day” at the Garage Band Records website. Their own internet site is also the best place to keep up with the group’s extensive live appearance schedule.

The Firehouse Fun Biker Rally stage will be located at Hwy 190 and Hwy 183 behind the Country Inn Motel in Lampasas Texas. Redneck Jedi will perform Saturday, October 18, at 8:30 p.m. For more information on this event contact lampasasinfo@sbcglobal.net.
